Paralyzer

This is my song of the week....I use to blast this every morning while getting dressed for work...In this song the guy is talking about being in a boring bar (I'm sure we all can relate) and he is staring at a woman....He is singing about one of those really nice/sweet guys who can never get a girl...the club that he is in he hates but the only reason he keeps coming....He hopes one day this chick will notice him....but until then he will just keep imagining them in a dark lit place.....

Finger Eleven "Paralyzer"

"Well I’m not paralyzed
But, I seem to be struck by you
I want to make you move
Because you’re standing still
If your body matches
What your eyes can do
You’ll probably move right through
Me on my way to you"

Gossip: Rihanna ft Chris Brown "Cake remix"

Rihanna released the greatly anticipated Cake remix from her latest album "Talk that Talk".....This has been a rumor going around for weeks now that the once lovers were reuniting to do this song.....and of course allot of critics had some not so nice things to say....Billboard Magazine editor wrote a open letter to RiRi begging her to think twice of what message she is sending if she does this song.....Rihanna went on to subtweet basically saying fuck what y'all think I'm doing this song.....Chris Brown also made some tweets defending his ex boo as well.....

The song was released Feb 20, 2012 on Rihanna bday and to spark more talk and gossip Chris Brown tweeted Rihanna saying happy bday awwwww.....LOL as for my opinion on this whole thing I for one do not care about what happen in the past....I am a fan of both and I think its ok that they have forgiven each other and still able to move on.....lets not forget Chris Brown wrote "Disturbia" for Rihanna and was one of her most successful songs to date....Say what you want about the two but they ain't stupid.....If nothing else this song will have everyone talking about the both of them...ain't nothing like free publicity y'all know Chris got a album coming out soon....

As for the song its self I don't like it at all....It sounds like two horny ass fuckers singing over a weird ass beat....but leave it up to 103.3 ill soon be loving the song cause y'all know they go play that song out....but I'm happy for the both of them I'm glad what happened three years ago did not break their careers....Chris and RiRi are both very talented and they both have moved on and we should too.

Here is the song

The 411 On My Deep Conditioner!

I love deep conditioning my hair....I run through conditioner like crazy....I have leave in conditioner, post shampoo conditioner, pre shampoo conditioner, deep conditioner and hot oil treatments...I love conditioning my hair....but this blog post is about the difference between all these conditioners....

One day while deep conditioning my hair I ran out with half of my head left to go.....I refused to get in my car and drive to get another jar......So I thought to myself (self) Myself said (huh?) why cant you just use regular conditioner?......So I grabbed my Fave conditioner Organix Nourishing Coconut Milk (*sigh I love that stuff) I compared the ingredients couldn't find anything different other than a few ingredients.....So I went for it and loved it so every since then I have been using just regular conditioner meaning it doesn't have "Deep" in the title.

Since I had such wonderful results I researched (googled) to see if there was really a difference I found that although many conditioners say "deep" they are actually just rinse out conditioners....No matter how long you leave the conditioners on they will only coat the hair shaft and not penetrate it......What I found is that certain ingredients will penetrate the hair and you should look for them when searching for a great deep conditioner....My conditioner has coconut oil in it, coconut oil has a high affinity for hair proteins and, because of its low molecular weight and straight linear chain, is able to penetrate inside the hair shaft....Other oils such as  Avocado Oil, Olive oil penetrate the hair shaft to make it stronger as well.....So don't be fooled by a label look at the ingredients to determine if the product really has what it takes to do what it claims it can do.

Do you love him more than you love yourself?

Its hard for me to write this blog post...because what sparked this blog was very traumatizing and sad....but it needs to be said....I for one knows what its like to be in an a relationship that is one sided...meaning only one person is in the relationship.....I know what its like to be in a abusive relationship....I usta make the excuse well he ain't hitting me like Ike did Tina so its not that bad.....well one time is one to many and at that point you need to decide do you love yourself more than you love him.....Some of us want our relationships to work out so bad rather it be for the kids or not that we accept toxic relationships over be single.....Some of us don't know how to be single we gotta have somebody to call our own.....What point do you say hey I had enough this isn't working and bounce.

I don't wanna go into details concerning this out of respect for my friend.....so but I have to write this and clear my mental closet because this has been clogging my thoughts and it wont leave until I express myself....No matter what your going through in a relationships the highs or lows.....you should never feel like his life is more important than yours.....If you get to the point where the hurt in your relationship is enough to end your life....than baby that's when its should be clear to you that you no longer have self love....and how can you love him if you don't even love yourself.....Its easy to want to put the blame all on the man.....At the same time its something called being accountable. You have to be accountable for your actions and just as much as he is this or that....what have you done to improve your self?

Imma leave it at that Let me ask y'all a question feel free to comment I would love the feedback.....Have you ever been in an abusive relationship? What made you realize you were in one? What made you leave? Abuse can be mental, verbal or physical.....Did you hold yourself accountable for your the choices you made in the relationship? What got you through the relationship? If you can give a woman advice going through the same thing you went through what would it be?

NEARLY 60 PERCENT OF ALL YOUNG WOMEN HAVE EXPERIENCED ABUSE

29% of women surveyed said they’d been in an abusive relationship.
  • 62% of those women have been hit, shoved, or slapped.
  • 33% choked or strangled.

Young Black Single Mother.....

I'm speaking from the heart on this one....

I am 25 with no kids, and in my community I'm giving a pat on my back an praised as if  I've accomplished something out of this world.....lets get real its not to often you see a young black woman in her 20's with no children....this topic alone sparks many debates.....but I feel the need to say my peace concerning this topic....of being a "Young Black Single Mother"....

I don't turn my nose up at women who have kids.....its easy to assume the negative but I rather not....Because I could of easily been in the same situation....At the end of the day no matter how much I empathize, the  fact is I don't have kids and I could never fully understand the struggle...However I know going into your 20's and having a small human attached to your hip isn't the way life supposed to be.....at 20 your supposed to be free living, following your dreams learning and growing....at that age you are not mentally mature to take care of another person point blank....Now I know alot of y'all are probably like hold up I take damn good care of my kids....sucking yawl's teeth and rolling your eyes.....but lets bring it full circle here is my story....

I got pregnant at 21 February of 2008....My then long time boyfriend my first, asked me to have his child....I took that as a honor.....Child I was young dumb and full of cum literally....I was like OMG you want me to be your babies mama....So we tried and BAM!!! I was pregnant now what? When I tell you my life instantly flashed before my eyes, as I sat in my bedroom starring at a positive pregnancy test...I couldn't believe it I was shocked.... I realized I had made the dumbest decision ever, but I was going to be woman about it and take care of my responsibility..... I didn't take into consideration of MY REALITY! I was unemployed a full time student, in a very unhealthy relationship about to have a baby with a man that had no respect for me....I was depressed, self esteem was non existent....

I went to my first prenatal appointment by myself on the bus in the freezing cold....I knew at that moment I was just another statistic..The fights got so in tense I found myself begging this man to love me and not leave......I'm like hold up nigga didn't you ask me to have this baby....WTF? The relationship turned physically abusive I was two months pregnant when I lost the baby....We just had a huge fight because he had some chick texting my cell phone.....He choked me out and pushed me on the ground wow!!! That same day I miscarried....I made a decision that day that I would work on me and improve my quality for life...not the quality of life....but my quality for life you feel me....It took me a whole year to get better and leave his ass alone for good but I did it.....

Now what if I had the baby? I can try to say I would have done the same thing and left....But honestly I would probably still be with him.....with a 3 and a half year old probably going thru it.....I now realize I wasn't mentally mature during that time to have allowed myself to go through that....So how was I going to protect my child and invest in its future? If I couldn't protect myself or gave a damn about my own future.....Now to my ladies who have kids and are single....I know your doing a damn good job raising your kids.....But be honest knowing what you know now and looking back wouldn't it have been a lot easier if you didn't have a child? Now I know God doesn't make mistakes but sometimes we rush and things happen a little earlier than God intended in my opinion.....I ask all the young ladies reading this to wait....If your meant to be a mommy it will happen....Let being a teenage mother be one of those statistics you beat!!!....To those that are pregnant or have child(ren).....reflect on your current situation and if there is anything in your life..... that is not good for your child's well being remove it......
