My Dream Home

One of my fave shows happens to be house hunters....I love seeing people getting their dream homes it inspires me to keep working hard....One of my biggest goals to date is to own my first home.....So I often day dream on what it would be like to actually house shop....Being able to afford a home that meets all my needs basically being able to buy what I want.... I'm sure this is a dream we all have and I know with hard work I will be  seeing this dream into reality.....

My dream home would be one of the brownstones in NYC or something similar.....With hopes of one day relocating to the east coast one day....I would love to live in the DMV area that is my dream so with that being said lets get into what I want my home to look like....

I want a home with three levels, a huge kitchen since I love to cook....I want a nice deck where I can also BBQ and have get togethers.....I want at least 4 bedrooms but prefer to have 5.....I need my master bedroom to have a bathroom inside of it.....A half bathroom located in a central spot near my area of entertainment...Also I would want another bathroom in a central spot for the bedrooms.....Sigh I can go on and on so here are pics of what I imagine for myself one day...

Wannabes vs Jiggaboos

Whats up with everybody going natural? I know this is a question allot of people are wondering. It does seems as though everyone has taken a ride on the bandwagon. I didn't know that there was even a natural community until I decided to go natural. I decided to go natural over three years ago after allot of research and going back and forth with myself. I decided to go forward with the idea and my last relaxer was Oct, 2011. My "BC" was May 16, 2011.

Since being natural I have noticed this civil war between naturals and relaxers....shoot I have even seen naturals hate on other naturals for not having a certain curl pattern. Or for not using all natural products in their hair. I can think of many things some naturals try to shove down peoples throats lol....This whole natural vs relax is a modern "dark skin vs light skin"....It reminds me of the Spike Lee 1988 film School Daze lol watch the seven minute musical sequence of the light skin relax hair "Wannabes" vs the dark skin natural hair "Jiggaboos".....LOL the big girl was getting huh? really this just proves this mess has been going on since forever....This was back when being "natural" was not a movement and it damn sure wasn't a fad

Paralyzer

This is my song of the week....I use to blast this every morning while getting dressed for work...In this song the guy is talking about being in a boring bar (I'm sure we all can relate) and he is staring at a woman....He is singing about one of those really nice/sweet guys who can never get a girl...the club that he is in he hates but the only reason he keeps coming....He hopes one day this chick will notice him....but until then he will just keep imagining them in a dark lit place.....

Finger Eleven "Paralyzer"

"Well I’m not paralyzed
But, I seem to be struck by you
I want to make you move
Because you’re standing still
If your body matches
What your eyes can do
You’ll probably move right through
Me on my way to you"

Gossip: Rihanna ft Chris Brown "Cake remix"

Rihanna released the greatly anticipated Cake remix from her latest album "Talk that Talk".....This has been a rumor going around for weeks now that the once lovers were reuniting to do this song.....and of course allot of critics had some not so nice things to say....Billboard Magazine editor wrote a open letter to RiRi begging her to think twice of what message she is sending if she does this song.....Rihanna went on to subtweet basically saying fuck what y'all think I'm doing this song.....Chris Brown also made some tweets defending his ex boo as well.....

The song was released Feb 20, 2012 on Rihanna bday and to spark more talk and gossip Chris Brown tweeted Rihanna saying happy bday awwwww.....LOL as for my opinion on this whole thing I for one do not care about what happen in the past....I am a fan of both and I think its ok that they have forgiven each other and still able to move on.....lets not forget Chris Brown wrote "Disturbia" for Rihanna and was one of her most successful songs to date....Say what you want about the two but they ain't stupid.....If nothing else this song will have everyone talking about the both of them...ain't nothing like free publicity y'all know Chris got a album coming out soon....

As for the song its self I don't like it at all....It sounds like two horny ass fuckers singing over a weird ass beat....but leave it up to 103.3 ill soon be loving the song cause y'all know they go play that song out....but I'm happy for the both of them I'm glad what happened three years ago did not break their careers....Chris and RiRi are both very talented and they both have moved on and we should too.

Here is the song

The 411 On My Deep Conditioner!

I love deep conditioning my hair....I run through conditioner like crazy....I have leave in conditioner, post shampoo conditioner, pre shampoo conditioner, deep conditioner and hot oil treatments...I love conditioning my hair....but this blog post is about the difference between all these conditioners....

One day while deep conditioning my hair I ran out with half of my head left to go.....I refused to get in my car and drive to get another jar......So I thought to myself (self) Myself said (huh?) why cant you just use regular conditioner?......So I grabbed my Fave conditioner Organix Nourishing Coconut Milk (*sigh I love that stuff) I compared the ingredients couldn't find anything different other than a few ingredients.....So I went for it and loved it so every since then I have been using just regular conditioner meaning it doesn't have "Deep" in the title.

Since I had such wonderful results I researched (googled) to see if there was really a difference I found that although many conditioners say "deep" they are actually just rinse out conditioners....No matter how long you leave the conditioners on they will only coat the hair shaft and not penetrate it......What I found is that certain ingredients will penetrate the hair and you should look for them when searching for a great deep conditioner....My conditioner has coconut oil in it, coconut oil has a high affinity for hair proteins and, because of its low molecular weight and straight linear chain, is able to penetrate inside the hair shaft....Other oils such as  Avocado Oil, Olive oil penetrate the hair shaft to make it stronger as well.....So don't be fooled by a label look at the ingredients to determine if the product really has what it takes to do what it claims it can do.

Do you love him more than you love yourself?

Its hard for me to write this blog post...because what sparked this blog was very traumatizing and sad....but it needs to be said....I for one knows what its like to be in an a relationship that is one sided...meaning only one person is in the relationship.....I know what its like to be in a abusive relationship....I usta make the excuse well he ain't hitting me like Ike did Tina so its not that bad.....well one time is one to many and at that point you need to decide do you love yourself more than you love him.....Some of us want our relationships to work out so bad rather it be for the kids or not that we accept toxic relationships over be single.....Some of us don't know how to be single we gotta have somebody to call our own.....What point do you say hey I had enough this isn't working and bounce.

I don't wanna go into details concerning this out of respect for my friend.....so but I have to write this and clear my mental closet because this has been clogging my thoughts and it wont leave until I express myself....No matter what your going through in a relationships the highs or lows.....you should never feel like his life is more important than yours.....If you get to the point where the hurt in your relationship is enough to end your life....than baby that's when its should be clear to you that you no longer have self love....and how can you love him if you don't even love yourself.....Its easy to want to put the blame all on the man.....At the same time its something called being accountable. You have to be accountable for your actions and just as much as he is this or that....what have you done to improve your self?

Imma leave it at that Let me ask y'all a question feel free to comment I would love the feedback.....Have you ever been in an abusive relationship? What made you realize you were in one? What made you leave? Abuse can be mental, verbal or physical.....Did you hold yourself accountable for your the choices you made in the relationship? What got you through the relationship? If you can give a woman advice going through the same thing you went through what would it be?

NEARLY 60 PERCENT OF ALL YOUNG WOMEN HAVE EXPERIENCED ABUSE

29% of women surveyed said they’d been in an abusive relationship.
  • 62% of those women have been hit, shoved, or slapped.
  • 33% choked or strangled.
  • 11% who say their partner is currently abusive predict he “will seriously hurt or kill me.”
